Who We Are

The Krause Basler Network

was developed towards the end of 2015 to market different Expansion locations as they franchise their comprehensive and established models and systems. The Lake of the Ozarks, MO team launched in 2015 with the Kansas City team following right behind. A strong start towards fulfilling their short-term vision of expanding to 10 new markets over the next 5 years! They are now in the top ½ of 1% of all Realtors nationwide, they are also ranked #2 in all of St. Louis out of over 9,000 agents and #5 in the state of Missouri. They are truly, the Real Estate Team of Choice and all while continuing to embrace new team members with their core values of spiritual fulfillment in family, in business and through giving back to the community! They provide a learning based environment for their team promoting self-improvement and leadership development!

Dawn Krause

Partner & Principal Owner

Dawn is Partner and Principal owner of the The Krause Basler Real Estate Team, powered by Keller Williams Realty. Dawn and her partner, Tom Basler, bring a combined 39 years of real estate experience to their team with the philosophy that “No one succeeds alone”. Their Mission Statement “To develop a lifelong relationship with every client through the highest level of trust, integrity, authenticity, passion and industry knowledge” is one by which they truly live and lead!

Dawn has been married to Mike for 20 years and they have a very tight family, both at home and within the community. Mike, a 4th generation firefighter, is the Fire Chief for one of St. Louis’s premier fire districts, Metro West Fire

Protection District. They met while Dawn was earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Missouri, Columbia (followed by her Masters Degree is Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University). They continue to live in west St Louis County with their daughter, Emma (17), now exploring colleges and identical twin boys Gus & Tucker (14). Their sons, diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3, bring joy to their lives every day and have blessed them with the opportunity to view the world through a separate set of lenses. Their family has taken this passion and focused it on starting a new chapter at the Eureka High School named Best Buddies. Best Buddies is an international organization that bridges the gap between someone with an intellectual disability with someone who does not. This has given the opportunity for so many kids to have friendships and experiences that they would of never had if it wasn’t for their Best Buddy.

Because giving back to the community is incredibly important to Dawn, she is also involved with Autism Speaks (which raises money for Autism research), as well as Backstoppers (which financially supports the families of first responders who are killed in the line of duty).

Tom Basler

Partner & Principal Owner

Tom is a Partner and Principal owner of The Krause Basler Real Estate team powered by Keller Williams Realty. Tom and his partner, Dawn Krause (also a Hills Angel) formally merged their businesses on October 1st, 2015. They bring a combined 40 years of real estate experience to their team with the philosophy that “Nothing great is achieved alone”.

They are now in the top ½ of 1% of all Realtors nationwide. Tom attended DeVry University in Kansas City, MO. and began his professional career as an electrical engineer for McDonnell Douglas, assigned to flight simulation. While he thoroughly enjoyed the job, Tom realized the limiting factors that existed in the corporate world and always had a desire to be an entrepreneur. He made a major career change in 1993 to take a chance on real estate and has never looked back. For years he was an individual agent and then developed a small team. After 19 years at RE/MAX, Tom joined the Keller Williams organization in October of 2013. That’s when he and Dawn began to develop a professional relationship and began to understand their alignment of both business and core values. They now have one of the top teams in St. Louis and have recently launched expansion teams at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and the Kansas City area. Their vision has them on track to expand to 10 markets in the next 4 years. Tom lives in Ballwin, Missouri with his daughter’s Karli (19) and Alexis (17). Tom is an avid reader, runner and he will compete in his 1st triathlon in May 2017. His passion to grow himself and others around him is why he gets up every morning. The Hill’s Angel network provides Tom the opportunity to surround himself with amazing people that can further enhance his ability to learn and give back to others. Significance lies beyond success. It’s time to make a difference....

Chris Kaestner

Lead Buyers Specialist

Chris brings over 17 years of Real Estate experience in both residential and commercial sales to the team! The love she has for helping her clients find their next home shows through in her excitement each day she spends with them. Her experience provides the education for her clients and her warmth provides the long-lasting relationships that brings them back through the years. Her involvement in the Autism Community strengthens her love and connection with her daughter. Both of her children, Jake 8 Alivia 11, bring her joy daily and her love of the outdoors is shared with them as often as possible!

Kristen Jones

Buyers Specialist

Kristen joins our team with a significant corporate background. Her calm and compassionate personality compliments her drive and strong work ethics. She enjoys helping first time home buyers and celebrating in their success. Kristen realizes the value of team work. Her love and dedication for her husband and son helps while working with families, knowing that is as important for her as it is her clients.

Sarah Miller

Buyers Specialist

A native of St. Louis, MO, Sarah grew up the youngest of three children. She developed a passion for sports at a young age, playing competitive tennis starting at the age of nine and spending many of her childhood evenings, weekends and summers traveling throughout the Midwest playing tournaments. A two-time Missouri State Doubles Champion, Sarah went on to play Division I tennis at Davidson College in North Carolina where she majored in Religion. A college semester abroad in Madrid, Spain sparked Sarah’s interest in travel and hospitality. She spent the first four years of her professional career with Clipper Cruise Line, beginning in a crew member capacity and ending as Senior Cruise Director. Intrigued by the business functions behind the complex and fast-pace execution of the customer experience, Sarah left the workforce for two years to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. Upon graduation in 2000, Sarah spent a year in hotel management with Drury Hotels. Having been very fond of her student experience at the Olin Business School, Sarah was pleased to be offered an opportunity to return to the Olin Business School where she spent sixteen years, first as Director of MBA Student Affairs and then as Assistant Dean and Director of Graduate Student Affairs. Sarah’s passion for real estate was born after meeting her husband Greg. In 2010 they formed 406 Investments, LLC, and began investing in real estate. In 2014 they completed the process of custom building their home. This combined passion for real estate and customer service brought Sarah to the Krause Basler team. She brings to the team a drive to deliver outstanding customer service, a commitment to teamwork, and sound business acumen.

Elizabeth Hozeska

New Construction Specialist

Elizabeth is in her element as a New Construction Specialist. She says, “Relationship building is where to begin when building a home”. Understanding your clients desires and helping to fulfill them is what is important to her”. Her experience as a Professional Organizer and Designer shows through her systems, project management skills and creativity.

Allison Fanger

Listing Specialist

Allison prides herself on making your home buying experience fun!  A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Business Management, she joins the team with over 10 years’ experience in management, marketing, and sales roles.  Friends would say she is most known for her positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and loud laugh.  Allison’s never-quit attitude is certain to work to her client’s advantage in making sure the deal always gets done.

Debbie Hyde

Expansion Partner

Debbie an experienced Listing agent and negotiator. She has 30 years’ experience in marketing and communications with Maritz Inc., including print, multi-media, and web; working with Fortune 500 companies, C-level management and managing large development groups. She has had 7+ years as a real estate top performer, listing specialist, and specializes in expired listings, investment properties, and the upper tier. She is a member of the ALC (Agent Leader Council).

Sara Wylie

Expansion Partner

Sara is a highly motivated and determined agent that takes pride in providing superior customer service.  She offers over fifteen years of experience in various roles of management and marketing throughout corporate and small business. She is a proud Mom to three beautiful children, one that has an Autism Spectrum Disorder and Epilepsy.  Her focus is to assist clients in turning a new page in their chapter of life all while continuing to raise respectful, hard-working and happy human beings.

Christine Storm

Director of Operations

Christine is the Director of Operations for the team. She is a graduate from Webster University with a degree in Accounting.   She studied Human Resources at the University of Kansas.  Christine brings to the team the necessary experience to analyze the income and expenses to help the team achieve their financial goals.

Gordon Willsey

Director of Lead Gen and Production

Gordon joined our sales team with over 25 years of Sales Management experience focusing on client retention and overall customer satisfaction! With a Business Management Degree from University of Oklahoma with a minor in Psychology he shares his knowledge and experience. His life is fulfilled with his two teenage girls and his beautiful wife of 20 years.

Kate Gieseler

Marketing Coordinator

Kate working with the community to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience. Kate comes from 18 years as a Firefighter/Paramedic and knows what it means to provide safety, community service and comfort to people. "My goal is to provide a service through integrity, heart and dedication." Her husband works as an elementary school principal and together have 5 amazing children.

Jennifer Garner

Listing Coordinator

She is our Listing Coordinator has been in the Real Estate industry for 17 years where she has had all types of support roles, licensed and unlicensed, in both Missouri and Illinois.  She is a licensed Realtor and has earned her ABR and ePro Designations. She loves helping people and has discovered that a support role is where she does her best work. Jenn graduated from Eastern Illinois with BS in Family and Consumer Sciences. Jenn loves that every day brings something new in real estate.

Cindy Swaykus

Bringing us over 20 plus years of business experience.  She’s an honors graduate from Webster University with a Major in Business and Computer Science.  Her role as the Contract to Close Coordinator is a perfect fit for her excellent organizational skills and her desire to continuously improve our service levels to the client.
